You will need a collection of metal bits. I find 3\/16 is what I go through the most. That is the size for most of my rivets. Buying a pack of bits of the size you want is more affordable than the multi-packs. At first, you may break quite a few as you learn how to drill straight and not bend the bits. Sheet metal\/auto body bits are handy because they are shorter and have bits on both ends.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Finding a solid rivet supplier can be a challenge! I like 3\/16 x 1\/2 inch long rivets with a round top. You may also need some 1\/8 inch rivets 1 inch long for face grills. I purchase packs of nuts and bolts of the same size as the rivets to use for temporarily holding pieces together. Don\u2019t try and use pop-rivets, they are not strong enough and are not SCA legal.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
