Glyndmere is many things to many people. For some, it is a farmstead with a blacksmith shop and lots of space to make things. Others enjoy the beehives which give us honey and allow us to make mead. Some feel it is a safe haven for researching medieval history. Now and then you might see a group of us out practising armoured combat or throwing axes. Glyndmere is a place where we can relive and revive aspects of medieval history. It is one thing to say what it must have been like in medieval times but it is another to actually try and do it! Our goal is to have fun, learn different things and be creative.
In these pages, you will find some tidbits of information about projects we have attempted. Some succeeded and some not so much. The curators are medievally known as Penda and Sibylla, known mundanely as Mark and Tamara.
